I was in the middle of teaching an Align Body & Soul class, and had a deepening of what this truly means. Let's face it, none of us are above getting sick or "something happening to us". None of us. As much as we take care of ourselves, eat right, exercise every day. We can still get "something", right?
If that's the case, if in fact the illusion of control over our bodies is just that, an illusion. Are we victims? Well, it's a choice really. Why do we fall back into "victim", why do we want the attention, love and support, and why do we think being sick is a "valid reason" to rest?
Well, you don't need to know why. You just need to know that you can sometimes have the tendency to go there. Something about being sick validates what we deny in our lives; "I need help with the laundry", "I need to rest", "I want to create community that is willing to take my kids while I read a book", "I want someone to cook and clean for me for a week straight".... and somehow without the "valid reason" we won't ask for it.
Don't be too hard on yourself. It's our conditioning. That's all.
So, what does this all have to do with 11-11-11?
Some say this date is some portal for evolution. I don't really know and I'm not sure it matters. I just know it sounds cool, and given that so many are focused on the power of this day, just by the mere fact that they are focused on this opportunity housed in this date, it's going to be powerful. If the collective (or part of it, anyway) is bringing focus to it... then we are going to create a pretty cool reality that day.
I've been waiting to see what it is that I will be doing. Will I teach a teleclass? Will I just sit on my own and take it in? Well, the answer came this morning.
I will be hosting a one day retreat on Friday, November 11, 2011. What will we do? claim our authentic self, begin (or continue) on the RADICAL AUTHENTIC expression of who we are.
We will have sacred sound, healthy food, a little yoga, meditation, rest, awareness, and attuning to the energy of RECEIVING. (One of my favorite topics these days). Take the day off, it will be worth it. You will feel rejuvenated, grounded in who you really are, and supported in your Path.
If you have not attended a retreat hosted by yours truly, well, I'll just say, they are pretty darn amazing. lol. I LOVE creating sacred space for you to walk away feeling inspired and fulfilled, and giving you tools to stay that way. I custom tailor every retreat to those who are present, and most (some are not ready) walk away getting exactly what they needed to evolve to the next level. It's a promise and guarantee. But, let TC tell you what she got out of the last retreat ....
I have just returned from Asha’s “Intentions for 2011, Day Retreat” I am not sure how to put into words the beautiful work that was accomplished while making room for what I wish to bring into my life in 2011. The day was just amazing. Asha is a wonderful teacher, she is true to herself and purpose which allows her to be fully present in each moment with you and creates a space where you are free to be you, to be vulnerable and you never doubt for one moment that you are fully supported. Asha is real and that is something I look for in and admire in a teacher. I have also attended a teleclass that she offered on the second of the 7 Principles of the Sacred Chalice and can hardly wait for the rest of the program! --TC

So, what does changing your perspective on circumstances have to do with 11-11-11? Everything. You can decide that this is the day when you deconstruct from the paradigm of the world, and create your own way of seeing the world and your life, from a place that is supportive and allows you to stay awake and expand.
It's really simple, you either make the choice or your don't. You either want to be radically authentic, or you are not ready.
