Testimonials

I have just returned from Asha’s “Intentions for 2011, Day Retreat”  I am not sure how to put into words the beautiful work that was accomplished while making room for what I wish to bring into my life in 2011.  The day was just amazing.  Asha is a wonderful teacher, she is true to herself and purpose which allows her to be fully present in each moment with you and creates a space where you are free to be you, to be vulnerable and you never doubt for one moment that you are fully supported.  Asha is real and that is something I look for in and admire in a teacher.  I have also attended a teleclass that she offered on the second of the 7 Principles of the Sacred Chalice and can hardly wait for the rest of the program! --TC

I just reread all the notes I wrote down yesterday and I really feel like I came up with a manageable and inspiring plan. This is so much better than making traditional resolutions! They way you led us through the process of deciding what is important, why it’s important, and how we can move towards it really made me connect to my desire to change. I love the way we “softened” the approach and looked at our intentions as a process, rather than a static goal to reach.  Another thing I love is the energy of being with other women who are willing to be vulnerable and open with each other, even though most of us have never met. It seems like we will inevitably find a common thread among us. I love how we all have advice and support for each other.

We talked about a woman who was hesitant to come because she wasn’t quite sure what the day would be like. I realized that I had absolutely no idea what the day would be like myself, but that didn’t bother me, even though I’m a planner. I know that you will take the day in whatever direction it needs to be taken.  At some point during the beginning of both retreats, I thought to myself, “Where are we going with this? What am I going to get out of this?” At the Intentions retreat, I reminded myself that all the jumbled thoughts in my brain would eventually take shape, and of course, they did. If I’m ever feeling aimless, you find a way to get me back on track.–K.C.

Asha,

What I got out of the day we had together was not only inspiration from the other girls, but a plan, a plan to have my life go in the direction I want it to. It was such an incredible opportunity to spend an entire day on me and my plan for the new year. After having one of the worst years I can ever remember, I was so ready to jump into 2011 and make it a positive experience for me personally and for my family. I feel like I now have the tools to do that, at least I have a plan! You have such an insightful view of life that lends itself to looking inward but also forward, and for that I am grateful.. I totally feel like "Today is when my life begins.....the rest is still unwritten..." Also, After manifesting the need to work, I have been searching for months and sending out so many resumes it was getting depressing. Monday after our workshop, I got an email from the company I worked with before saying they have an opportunity for me and would love to have me back. I spoke with them OVER 2 months ago, now if that isn't cool....

Now my goal is to manifest winning the HGTV dream house in Vermont!!:)

I have been doing the 2 things every day to help me move forward and will reap the benefits.

Sharon

Asha created an environment where I felt safe sharing personal experiences and challenges. She managed to affirm participants with different viewpoints and ways of being, creating an environment of mutual  respect, support, and growth.

The exercises in Asha's teleclass on meditation and finding balance run deep. Not only was I able to gain new insights into myself, but I was able to take a big leap forward in using these insights that radically changed how I interact with others. I found new gentleness and deeper self love but also felt more powerful and became unwilling to give away pieces of my core and soul simply to meet others' expectations of me. I was able to call on all this during a personal challenge, acting on it spontaneously and with ease, instead of struggling to do so or not even trying, as has happened in the past. -- Julie W

I am just beginning to write a testimonial on a series of classes I have taken recently with Asha Ramakrishna.  I want to try and express what her classes have given me and will continue to give me as they evolve.  While doing this I had the shove to share this information with all of my FB pals, as I know there are many of you out there who can benefit from what she has to say.

Before I begin I have to say: I do not stand up and shout about too many of the teachers,  I have had, as I am a tough critic, there are probably only 6 of them that I will stand behind and Asha has been added to that list. She is kind, caring, professional, authentic, and beautiful.   I will also say without doubt that the minute you meet her you will see the light she is here to share with us all.  I just love her!

As women, I think we can all relate to times when we have tried to compare ourselves to someone else, think we are not good enough, that our way is not best, have put parts of us away to please others, or need permission to be ourselves.

I know a lot of people I talk to value and envy the ability they see others have in which they are able to be themselves and stand by their beliefs.  Asha teaches what she was given as the Sacred Chalice Principles. Each one of the seven principles stands alone strongly and yet stands as strongly as part of the group.

She has taught me that in a sisterhood there is no room for competition or comparing ourselves to other people. There are enough teachers and students for everyone and there does not have to be that masculine beat down of other people to get who is right for us. This can translate into so many areas in our lives.

Regardless of the situation we have all been in conversations with others of why we are better than another woman in business or relationships, or motherhood. There always seems to be times when we are trying to compare ourselves to someone else or to an ideal we hold of someone else, while ignoring ourselves and not paying respect to who we are, believing in who we are, and knowing that we are enough.

We often sit in a state of panic and worry in relation to others and lose our grasp on what role the divine feminine energy plays in our life.

The Sacred Chalice Principles are amazing, freeing, and gratifying. They bring peace and flexibility to what is described as very masculine qualities that we all have.

The principles truly bring softness to the masculine energy many of us portray in life, whether it be as a single mother or a business woman.

We do not need to talk about, cut down, or bring down other women that we perceive as a threat to us. There is enough work, enough love, enough men, and enough energy for us all.

We do not have to cut people out as a result of fear.  I am not saying bad things do not happen but I am encouraging and challenging you to stop the role you may play in them.

If you are willing to take a chance and learn something about yourself, your nature, and what you can do to bring more feminine energy into your life, then Asha is truly a teacher for you.

She offers classes in Somerville, retreats all over Massachusetts, as  well as teleclasses.

My new personal mission statement:  I serve God, myself, and others with my creativity. I think adding the word “myself” was an important point to consider, and it immediately resonated with me.  I did feel a shift.  The idea of serving myself, not in self-centered way, but in a loving, caring way, was totally absent from my thought process. I have to learn to maintain the motor that will be able to serve.  If you don’t take care of the car, it will break down.

I told Asha I needed dynamite to break down the barriers, the walls I had built up around me. Once I had been the big dreamer, but now my world had contracted beyond my wildest imagination.  The dreams and desires still stirred in me, begging to be let out, but I had closed down, only allowing a trickle.  Try as I did to remove myself from this “thinking small” mindset, I just couldn’t.  Sometimes we simply cannot break down the walls within without help.  Asha helped me break down these walls in a “Breakthrough Session.” She worked in tandem with the creator, to remind me God only wants the best for all of us.  God worked through Asha to move me away from the small world I had built, and to live in the more expansive world God wants for me.  Asha, in fact, did give me the dynamite that broke down the walls.  Only it’s called Gratitude.  Thank you God, and thank you Asha.-- Rose

I don't know how to thank you enough for this week and especially this morning - was so perfect and amazing!

I feel truly blessed that we connected, and to receive your wisdom, love and support for my journey (and rebirth!!!)

Again, I am so grateful to the Universe and to you for this opportunity to work together, and I am so looking forward to this journey.

Thank you so much for your blessings, love and support. -- Joan

What I got out of working with you is a refocusing on myself and my own unique journey.  You served as a guide for me as I learned to spend time with myself again, looking within and seeking my own deeper guidance.  The conversation, the seven unique areas of focus each offered me a guided way to look at my life, my journey and my growth.-- Amy

"After we hung up (from our one-on-one call) today I became aware of something. I am calling it my RYP (Reclaiming Your
Power) class shift. What I realized after looking through my journal was that at the start of the class most of my
entries were ways I 'lost my power' and I only had a few entries on how I 'claim my power.' By the 3rd class I
noticed that my entries had 'shifted.' Now, I am aware of and log many more ways that I gain/reclaim my power and
that makes me feel really great.I also noticed that all the entries on how I lose my power seem to be variations of the
same single theme--not being my authentic self in all situations--which makes me feel unconnected. AND...the
theme behind the ways I gain my power has to do with feeling connected...to myself, to others, to G-d. It only
took 2-3 classes for me to become aware of my RYP shift.

Asha's teleclass allowed me to explore and release the  - depression, fear, old mental habits, old pain - that was holding me back from being a powerful joyous woman.  It helped me to find the ME I knew was inside and yearned to get out.  I learned how to accept and release my painful past experiences and fears they had left me with; to even honor them and to grieve thier leaving.  The class also brought the sense that I had learned how to do this for myself as I "practice" being a powerful joyous woman.  The circle of women that made up the group were a beautiful witness to this process.  Thank you for the opportunity to share and grow throughout this amazing class.  S.Y.
